Newsletter Vol. 17

Can you believe it?  We are almost half way through the last term already!  Yesterday, the school had another very successful International Food Day.  Staff, students and parent volunteers prepared delicious food from New Zealand, France, Italy, Greece, China, Vietnam, Mexico and Australia.  The canteen also provided a one stop multi-cultural culinary experience which was enjoyed by many of our school visitors and students alike.  This has developed into a traditional event for our school that is very well supported by families and extended family members. Yesterday, it was wonderful to see so many families that make up our school community enjoying themselves with their children.

The afternoon concluded with our annual Lapathon on the oval.  It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm with which all students took part in this event. Sponsorship money can now be brought in and given to classroom teachers

At this time of year in the classrooms, it is reasonably intense for both staff and students.  Students have started completing a range of assessments that will be used by teachers to help them create the end of year reports that are due to be sent home on Monday December 11, 2017.
