Edu-Dance

Edu-Dance Program will conduct our whole school Dance Program commencing in Term 2, Week 3 to Week 11, with the first lesson on Wednesday 1 May 2024.

The Dance program is linked to the curriculum and meets outcomes from both the Physical Education and the Arts (Dance) learning areas. This program also promotes Confidence, Fitness, Coordination, Self-esteem, Creativity, Social Skills and Risk-taking.  As this program is endorsed by our Poseidon Primary School Board, it is expected that all students will participate. 

The dance sessions will be conducted over a nine week period for approximately 30 minutes a week, culminating in a Dance Finale during the last session on Wednesday 26 June.  Each class has it’s own time slot (shown in table below).

It is planned to invite the parents to attend the finale dance assembly on Wednesday 26 June.  Each class will have a chance to show off their new moves for parents who are welcome to join us for lunch.

The cost of these dance lessons for the term will be $38.00 per child.  Please make full payment by Friday April 26 (last day of Week 2, Term 2).  

Poseidon is now a cashless school.  Preferred payments are by bank transfer or by bank card (debit/credit card).  Eftpos is available from the front office between 8am and 3pm.  If you are not able to come to the office, please fill out the attached Credit Card Payment Slip and place into one of the drop boxes located in the front office or next to the canteen. 

Please sign and return the attached permission slip to the classroom teacher as soon as possible, so we can confirm numbers with Edu-Dance.
