Interschool Winter Sports

During term 2, year 5/6 students will be participating in an Interschool Winter Sports program which will operate over several weeks, from Friday April 26th until Friday June 21st. The students have selected to participate in Football, Hockey, Netball or Soccer.

Students will be participating in 5 weeks of friendly practice matches and an afternoon Lightning Carnival on Friday June 21st. Fixtures are scheduled for the following Fridays – April 26th, May 3rd, 17th, 24th and June 14th.

All games are played between approximately 1:20 pm and 2:20 pm at the following venues:

Football                  -              Sail Terrace

Hockey                    -              Eddystone Primary

Netball                    -              Belridge Senior High School

(Bouncers Indoor Sports Centre - Lightning Carnival (Fri. June 21^st)

Soccer                      -              Eddystone Primary

All students will need to wear their school uniform.  They may also bring required equipment to school (shin pads, boots, mouth guards, etc).  Bringing a drink bottle is also a good idea.

Students who need Asthma medication are to make sure they bring it with them.

Due to duty of care arrangements all students will need to return to school at the end of the day.

The cost of transporting the teams, by bus, to the venues will be $71 in total for the matches and the Lightning Carnival.  This can be paid as either one payment of $71 or 5 payments of $14.20.

Please complete the attached consent form and a signed, updated Excursion Student Health Form.  Both forms need to be completed and returned.   Forms and payment are due by Monday 22^nd April 2024.

Teams will be leaving school at approximately 1:05pm and returning at 2:40pm.  Busses may be delayed on occasion, resulting in students returning later.  The school will post on the school Facebook page if this occurs.
